1) Brake drums are bolted together in front and rear pairs, then placed on the rollers of Vince's articulated jig.

4) Now all Vince has to do is drill each hole separately, then rotate and drill and rotate and drill, and… it really doesn't take as long as you'd think…honest.

2) Vince has triangular metal templates available for marking all diameters of drums, that make the holes come out even.

5) A completely drilled drum. Note how the holes fan out on an angle, making the venting process much more efficient.

3) The pair of Ford (yes, the Plymouth has a Ford 8-inch rearend) drums all marked and ready for drilling.

6) Some brake "professionals" have said that drilling drums precludes their being able to be turned. Nothing could be further from the truth.
